Children’s Services need real commitment and investment in early intervention
As the Tories continue to put local authorities and families in an incidious position now has do be the time for ”early intervention” as they call it.
If ever there was a need for clarity and action on what they call ”early intervention” it’s now.
Taking children into care, with all the financial and social costs that accompany it not to mention the sheer trauma on siblings and parents should not be the result of poor pay or problems with the diabolical Universal Credit system introduced by the Tories.
Children’s Services need real investment and commitment before another generation is lost. The lack of action and commitment to young people and struggling families from this government should do nothing apart from give deep feelings of shame to politicians.
Spending more on services, providing real determination and commitment to stop the rising costs, and a return to the Victorian era championed by nobody apart from Reece Mogg must be worth the investment needed in these services.
