Out and about serving Druridge Bay

Today I was out and about with Council Officers looking at improvements in the Druridge Bay patch. Thankfully we missed the rain . Dropped Kerb areas that have been highlighted by residents. I’m trying to make easier connections between estates and access to Doctors surgery. Residents with mobility issues have kindly highlighted the areas they’d like to see dropped and they know best in terms of what provides issues for them. We also visited Red Row looking at the area to the rear of Swarland Terrace both parking and flooding issues. I’ve also asked them to look at the Road narrowing outside the Community Centre in Widdrington to make that a safer crossing for those travelling to Grange View First School, the Library and Community Centre on a daily basis. Hopefully I can stretch the ward budget to the moon and back because I’m likely to get no assistance from the Tory Council in terms of funds. I was also pleased to show them in person the GIANT Potholes I’ve been banging on about for months asking to have them repaired.
