Visit to the former Alcan site to hear future plans

Visit to the home of the former Giant Chimneys to hear of the plans by Harworth Estates moving forward for the old Alcan site today. Seems so long ago since those chimneys towered over the area for many many years. Fantastic companies operating on site already with many more hopefully in the pipeline. Fantastic produce being manufactured there, the concrete factory as one example supplying building materials all over the Country. Ensuring that job opportunities and regeneration takes place in this area is crucial for local people. I know this site and it’s surrounding sites cross many Wards and Cllr Liz Simpson, Liz Dunn and I who represent Newbiggin, Lynemouth and Druridge Bay we will continue to support and work with Companies, Communities and Landowners to ensure the best possible opportunities come.
