Food Bank need soars
These are just Trussell Trust figures and don't include local food banks set up by caring communities here in our Constituency or across the UK. Between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017, The Trussell Trust’s Foodbank Network provided 1,182,954 three day emergency food supplies to people in crisis compared to 128,697 in 2012. That's nearly ONE MILLION more and the government tells you things are getting better and people are being lifted out of poverty......... Important FACT over 26% were given out because of low income that's working families. So when the Tory press try to say that it's people on benefits choosing to use food banks thanks rubbish. Fantastic food banks and support is offered right across this Constituency including in Berwick, Alnwick, Amble, Hadston, Widdrington, Lynemouth and many other smaller communities the list could be endless. In 2017 when £1billion pounds can be found for extra votes the Conservative Government chooses not to support UK families properly.......let's just think about that for a minute......
Disgraceful in 2017 and the facts that nearly ONE MILLION more parcels are being issued than in 2012 tells you this government needs to go.
