Outrage at alleged Surrey deal while Northumberland is cut to the bone
Adult Social Care is such an important part of Council Services.
As people get older and sometimes develop needs that need extra support it is crucially important that we have a responsive service.
The Government have pulled the money and said Councils should add 3% on Council Tax to pay for it.
Today we hear Surrey a Tory Run Council with two senior Tory MP's have been given a special deal as the Council there was going to add 15% on to the Council Tax.
Other than having Tory MP's is there any reason Surrey elderly people deserve that "special deal" more than Northumberland and why hasn't all Councils been offered a "special deal" or is it only Tory Southern Councils that get special deals.........disgusting ??
They've already been protected down south from Government CUTs to Council and are given more money per head than Northern Councils.
It really infuriates me. Older people in Northumberland need the same level of Adult Social Care as those in Surrey !!! Well done Corbyn for exposing this unfair and immoral secret deal.
