Welcome
Cllr Scott Dickinson – Druridge Bay Ward
When I was first elected to serve the people of Druridge Bay and wider Northumberland in 2013, it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
As someone born and raised here, I’m incredibly proud to represent this beautiful area. Druridge Bay isn’t just a place of natural beauty it’s home. Representing my community is a privilege I’ll never take for granted.
Being elected is one thing, but delivering real results for local people is what truly matters. I believe that listening to residents and acting on their concerns is the foundation of public service. That’s why I hold regular ward meetings, visit communities right across the area, and work hard to get things done.
Since my first election in 2013, I’ve had the honour of being re-elected in 2017, 2021 and again in 2024 – each time with increased local support. That trust is both humbling and motivating, and I’ll continue to work every day to repay it by standing up for our communities and making sure local voices are heard.
Alongside representing Druridge Bay, I also have the privilege of leading the Northumberland Labour Group, where I’m focused on delivering a fairer, more ambitious Northumberland and preparing to lead a future County Council that puts people first.
I remain fully committed to:
-
Supporting local groups, individuals, schools, and businesses
-
Championing our coastal and rural communities
-
Representing residents with honesty, determination, and passion
Over the years, I’ve built a reputation as a hard-working, approachable councillor who gets results. I’ll continue to do everything I can to deliver for the people who put their trust in me because this is our home, and our community deserves the very best.
